If you notice things are going a little crazy and seem a bit out of whack, then it’s most likely (un)expected. I’m doing a bit of maintenance work and giving the blog a few minor cosmetic adjustments. Bear with me, and she’ll come out a much better product when completed.
The maintenance is now over and everything is in working order. Enjoy the changes.

Since Microsoft released SP3, I decided why the hell not upgrade? So, here I am one service pack upgrade later with a few gripes already.
Since UXTheme.dll was upgraded, I can no longer use custom themes so I’m stuck with the too-bright XP default which has made me turn down my monitor’s brightness/contrast. Hopefully someone can release an updated patcher soon?
There aren’t many UI updates to be seen, so it seems all SP3’s work went on ‘under the hood’. Anybody else at the bleeding edge of Windows releases using SP3 yet?

Apologies once more ladies and gents; seems there was a bit of a hiccup with the database server but all seems to be fixed now, hopefully sans the sluggishness.

You may have noticed that the blog has undergone a slight colour change. For the month of October, I’m going Pink in support of Breast Cancer. Show your support for Breast Cancer and Make a Difference by supporting Pink4October.
Edit: Another fellow blogger, Pelf has decided to join the Pink For October awareness campaign. Spread the love and show your support.
If you have joined the cause, leave a comment and a link to your site and I’ll add you to the list

To the lame person (WHOIS on the domain returned the name Ozmen Kucukuysal) who tried to use the Wordpress myGallery exploit on me, badluck it doesn’t work because I don’t have the plugin installed.
Attempted with this link, obviously trying to use r57shell. The lame ‘Walking on Sunshine’ midi on your site, doesn’t help either. Turned out that was a flash that I had open, my bad.

If you read the sidenotes, you’ll know the single pages such as the Donate Page aren’t showing. I think I’ve found the problem: the_content();. It’s within the page loop after the post meta block (which is showing) but for some reason Wordpress isn’t grabbing the page content properly. For now I’ve simply put in a small message explaining the situation and apologising for any inconvenience. If you can offer your know-how or maybe you just think you know what the problem is and want to offer your help, check out my post at the Redoable support forums or leave a comment. I will be forever in your debt!

I’ve managed to implement a solution and it comes in the name of Spam Karma 2. So props to Dr. Dave for the great plugin, all the spam seem to have stopped now and Akismet is picking up even more spam. With Spam Karma working alongside Akismet things are looking good on the spam blocking front. Amen to that.
