What do you do if you happen to have posession of a tesla coil, a hire car, a camera and some free time? You mount it on the roof of the car, of course. (The image was originally hosted on their site, but I uploaded it to ImageShack due to linking problems).
There are more pictures on the main site at tesladownunder.com. It’s a horribly designed site and annoying to navigate, but if you’re motivated to see some really cool pictures and 6 foot sparks, you’ll work it out.
I think I’m going to have to build me a tesla coil. Those things are sweet!

Tesla Coils are indeed cool things. And yeah, you’re the third person in a week to tell me that - I know it is, it’s in the CSS and I’ll need to fix it sometime when I feel motivated to do so. Until then the Submit button is enjoying his holiday way off on the right side.
