Here is something that is a little bit interesting, SearchBigDaddy.com. When you sign up you can get a free top keyword.

The neat thing is that it actually places your site in an iframe above the search results. However, whether this will turn out to be worthwhile, well your guess is as good as mine, but keywords are disappearing all the time. If you do decide to use this, you should understand that the keyword you choose is actually the “complete search query.” So for example, choosing the keyword cat would not show up if someone searched “cat pajamas,” which wouldn’t show up for “red cat pajamas.”
That said, there are still lots of single word keywords available. It’s a land grab at the moment, it is probably just worth grabbing one now and then figuring out what to do with it. Even if you’re just stopping spammers from getting your name, it seems worth the time - particularly right now while there’s a buzz around this.
Or even try the search out for yourself here:

As you may or may not have noticed, I have slightly changed things. I am considering moving them around a little more, but this is how it will stay for now. I have added in 2 new links in the top menu (click the pull tab, isn’t it amazing what Javascript can do?) and you’ll see Status and Project 365. The status page is basically a few short details about what I’m currently doing (the page is under construction), and the Project 365 page will house my flickr photos which will be uploaded on there to document my 2007 year in photographs. If you’re wondering what Project 365 is, check out this page at PhotoJojo, or click the link above and read for yourself. I have also implemented the About page, but what is written there is absolutely true. For those of you who are too lazy, it simply says:
There’s nothing here as of yet. Nag me to write this and maybe that will change.
Which is absolutely true. I just can never be motivated to write an ‘About’ page. So nag me, and most likely that will change. Although I doubt you’d like to hear about me. Anyway, I’m going to end this post which was meant to be about Minor change around the site. Happy New Year.

So, what’s to say? I got my phone back today, after a long period of waiting. I have to get used to it once more, after having to deal with a crapola Nokia 1600 for the duration of my phone’s service period. It all works as expected, and I even got a free Robbie Williams Text Alert in mp3, basically him talking himself up at a concert, stating:
I’m a singer, a songwriter and a born entertainer
With the crowd screaming at the end. How’s that for customer service? (Even though I despise Robbie Williams and his music).
The Final Verdict: Don’t use a Nokia while you’re waiting for your phone to be fixed.

well, I post and nobody bothers to comment. I get a fair amount of pageviews and reads, but nobody takes the time to comment. helpp me to feel that warm fuzzy feeling that somebody actually cares that I write this pointless somewhat meaningful blog.
edit: not that you probably care, but i’ve managed to fix the bug of the shelf not expanding when viewing a single post. should work fine now. thanks.

Ever wondered how Skype and other programs that directly exchange data between two computers which are both firewalled only allowing outgoing traffic?
This article explains the firewall admin’s worst nightmare. Of course it’s nothing new, but still an interesting read.

moral to the story: always keep backups of your work even when you think you don’t need them anymore. you’re probably thinking I’m insane, so here’s the story:
I had been working on a backend for my tutorials for the site for quite some time, using mysql to store the information eg: url etc. and then using php to get the query string from the url (eg: page.php?pagenum=1) and pass it to mysql qhich would to the the row number of the passed string and echo certain data. i even made an admin panel etc. and put lots of work into it, but now that i need it, it’s disappeared and it’s not in a backup from the first of this month. so i’m annoyed now that i have to recode it, and the open date of the site has been pushed back. nothing major, but expect delays.

Well, as you can see, I have renovated the room here at forgedeuphoria.com. I’ve changed the theme to foliageMod by 5thirtyone, and added some new plugins which will allow you to get around a bit easier. The renovations will be ongoing, as I modify small chunks of code to tweak this to my liking. The menu can be accessed via the ‘pull’ tag at the top of the page. I will slowly implement things, such as the Portfolio which I am editing at the moment, because it has a few glitches that don’t exactly play nicely with this theme.
Until next time, Goodluck and Goodnight.
edit: found a bug already; although it may just be my browser- when viewing a single post, the shelf won’t slide down when the ‘pull’ image is clicked. drop me a line in the comments if you’re having the same problem.

I was browsing the internet and happened to stumble upon LordMatt.co.uk and coincidentally, forjono.com. Now, it may not seem like anything special, but I urge you to click it. It is the plea of one of my friends from MyBlogLog, Matt. His son was stolen away from him by his Ex-Wife and her current boyfriend in September 2004. Matt simply asks one thing: that you link to forjono.com or join the MyBlogLog Community in hope that his son may find it one day and know that his father still loves him. Hear this heartfelt plea and do something about it.
